Generally, door closers are found on fire doors where self-closing is a legal requirement, and elsewhere, where it is convenient to ensure that doors stay shut. They range from economic uncontrolled door slammers to sophisticated models that operate only in emergencies and can be adjusted for changing conditions. Concealed Door Closers
Concealed closers are often preferred in domestic and high end applications. Jamb mounted versions range from the BSEN1154 conforming adjustable Powermatic down to the original Perko. Overhead concealed closers combine the efficiency of overhead closers with the aesthetics associated with concealed closers and consequently are often found in hotels and quality developments. Various finishes can be applied to the joining arm and overhead channel to special order.

The range of overhead door closers have been specially selected for performance, versatility and appearance. These adjustable power door closers are suitable for most applications, including offices, hotels, schools and hospitals.  The correct closer is selected according to the usage, width, weight and application of the door.  Please contact our sales team for expert advice.

 

Floor Springs & Accessories
Floor springs are used in high traffic areas and/or where the doors are required to swing both ways - double-acting. These can also be used to swing gib concealed doors, usually as a single-acting variant. Electro-magnetic hold open options are also available for special orders.

Emergency exit panic hardware including panic bolts and panic bars should be capable of being easily and immediately opened from the inside to facilitate prompt escape from fire.

BS EN 1125: A panic application where the exit door is used by the public and provides "safe and effective escape through the doorway with minimum effort and without prior knowledge of operation". For example: theatres, shops, schools, hospitals and cinema.

Is there a compatible door closer that coordinates with these pivot hinges?

Unfortunately there is no compatible door closer for this, please take a look at our Heel spring pivot which has a built in closing device (24245.00.SS).
