Portman Architrave Free Pocket Door Kits

For installations where a minimal aesthetic is required and where the door opening needs to be frameless (i.e. without architrave), Portman offers a range of heavy duty custom door frame beading sections.
These sections enable the skim coat to be painted / finished to blend in with the door frame for a minimalist aesthetic.

Common questions about these products

Can this door be painted white or another colour and can a lockable door handle be fitted ?

Our Portman pocket door systems do not come with the doors but you can use any door as long as it fits the requirements. Locks and flush handles can be used together to create a lockable pocket door.

I am keen to order this system - is there any way that I can have an architrave free system with a soft close?

Because of the low-profile brackets that come with this set, it doesn’t allow you to have a soft close, but if you install a fire rated kit, it can be fitted architrave free, and a soft close is available.
