What are SDS Mortice Door Knobs ?

Mortice door knobs are door knobs that have backplates so that they can be fixed or screwed into the door knob part using fixing screws. These are generally screwed in through the back plate on the top and bottom. Mortice door knobs are connected to each side of the door which enables them to turn on each side. Some mortice door knobs also have a 'grub' screw under the stem of the handle which allows the spindle to give extra strength to the door fitting.
