Mechanism that restricts the initial window opening to 100 mm. Complies with BS 8213 Part 1: 1991 Code of Practice for Safety in use and in cleaning
Designed to be unobtrusive, the opening catch is less tempting to children
The mechanism requires a certain level of strength and dexterity to operate
and two hands are required to co-ordinate opening, giving added protection.
The entire restrictor mechanism is integral to the hinge, eliminating the need for a separate restrictor
Windows Incorporating the restrictor hinge have been tested and meet the requirements of BS 6375, Part 2: 1987, Clause A7 Test 6, Strength of Restricted Opening, Location Devices and Maximum Opening Stops
