Front Door Nightlatches A front door nightlatch is used as an extra form of security, particularly on external wooden doors. They are mounted on the surface of the internal side of the door. Surface nightlatches for front doors provide automatic locking on entering and automatic locking on exiting. Nighlatches are normally fitted to front doors with a B.S. 3621 deadlock fitted below to conform to insurance company requirements.
Is this available to order in duplicate, for a back door and front door - so they are also keyed alike? eg So one key fits all 4 locks over the two doors..
Also, is it suitable for both LH and RH opening doors?
Thanks for your enquiry. Each set is supplied with the nightlatch and deadlock keyed alike, so one key operates both locks.
To have one key operate all four locks across your front and back doors, both sets would need to be supplied keyed alike together. We’ll need to confirm this arrangement, along with any additional cost and lead time, before you order.

Hi. I own a first floor flat in a Victorian terraced house in London. The access to my flat is through a shared corridor used as means of escape for my first floor flat and the ground floor tenant. I am getting a new door fitted which is an FD30 timber Victorian style traditional 4 panel door with a solid core and top two glazed panels (44mm thickness). I am looking for a secure lock and separate nightlatch both with internal thumbturn to purchase that is BS8621 compliant for an HMO property and also insurable. Would your euro profile cylinder escape deadlock 67 be suitable?
As this lock is tested to and complies with BS8621, this should be fine for your intended use and should also satisfy insurance requirements.

Hi,
Can you please provide the specifications/measurements for each item.
E.g. what are the measurements for the cylinder, latch and deadlock.
When you say cylinder, I have assumed you mean the security cylinder pull body?  50mm wide x 80mm high x 20mm deep. The Night latch body is 86mm x 90mm x 59mm, lastly the deadlock body is 79mm deep 89mm height – back set is 56mm – with a cylinder 70mm long.  The faceplate of the deadlock is 26mm x 134mm.
