is there a maximum weight for the doors to be used?

This product isn't weight tested as the weight of the door is primarily supported with the hinges used. It's used as a door holder to withstand light movements from slightly misaligned hinges or small pressure changes within the building, but wouldn't overcome the strength of a door closer.
