SDS Continued Learning Programme

Here at SDS London, we value the need of product training and education. Therefore, we invest a lot of time on in house training which we feel is extremely beneficial.

We hold training events twice a month for all of our Sales Team, which are held out of hours after 5pm.

‘SDS invest a lot of time into every employee’s education. The Continued Learning Programme is an exciting way of furthering our knowledge whilst being able to socialise with our colleagues.
Various topics are covered in these sessions; which range from Sliding Door Gear to specific brands that we offer. Enhancing our knowledge allows us to answer any enquiries from customers.
This benefits myself by providing me with the extra confidence in knowing that I can accurately provide the correct ironmongery that the customer is seeking.’

Topics are chosen by the Sales Team, Management & Directors. We highlight areas that we feel need improvements, or specific brands that have introduced new ranges. We want our team to have the best knowledge of our product offering.


We have invited suppliers & manufacturers in to our premises, to offer hands on product training or for more information about companies and brands – so we fully understand the product and ranges that we are providing.


After an employee attends a training event, they are awarded with a certificate and it is logged on our internal system. They then build a portfolio of these and takeaway knowledge that can be used in their everyday role to assist them.
